PJTV host Bill Whittle and I discussed the future of the space program, and the President’s important role in setting future space policy, on April 14, 2009. We spent about 18 minutes ticking off the imperatives facing President Obama as he zeroes in on a new NASA administrator (“soon,” says the White House).

Our conversation also touched on my recent “Astronaut Advice” column for Popular Mechanics. As NASA closes in on the STS-125 shuttle launch to the Hubble Space Telescope, will NASA have a steady hand at the helm, and will he or she have the backing of the president in maintaining U.S. preeminence in space? Watch the interview and comment.
